Free tips for skin care beauty Adult Acne – What are the triggers Acne is insidious! It lies in wait, ready to strike at all the wrong times. Cheap cosmetics:  Makeup that contains lanolin or mineral oil should be avoided to prevent cosmetics acne (a rash of small pimples localized around oily areas or area of application)  Cheap cosmetic ingredients  tend to clog oil glands. Hormones: During times of stress the female body produces higher levels of a male hormone called, androgen. This is the same hormone that causes a teens skin to break out so frequently. The release of this hormone causes the oil glands to run in overdrive, producing more sebum (oil) on your face. Hold off the harsh toners and astringents for a while to see if you notice a difference in the number of breakouts you experience. This monthly breakout is due to increased levels of estrogen that send the sebaceous glands into overdrive. The oiler the skin the more likely you'll get clogged pores and acne pimples on your face. While acne breakouts are annoying, they don't have to stop you from living the life you want. Most acne clears naturally after a few years.
