Once upon a time, your hair was long and gorgeous and you took it for granted; twisting it into all sorts of shapes, neglecting it for weeks on end, even subjecting it to harmful and damaging chemicals. And, then one day, not long ago, you woke up and realized that your gorgeous locks, your incredible tresses, your once envied hair had begun to desert you.
There are many reasons for women to lose their hair, including pregnancy hormones, hair damage and stress.
However, Alopecia or hereditary baldness accounts for 95% of female hair loss.
And, while hair loss is often seen as an inevitable sign of aging, there are some simple things you can do to make the hair you have look fuller while preventing future hair loss.
Thin Hair tips!
1.) Use hair care products designed for thinning hair.
The built in light weight conditioners won't weigh your hair down.
Avoid styling product residue build up on the hair roots, as this can also make your hair appear flat.
2.) Say "NO" to hair styles, i.e. ponytails or braids and buns that pull hair back against the scalp and expose it to further breakage. These styles usually accentuate the thin spots.
3.) Stay away from metal rollers or anything that might cause additional hair damage.
4.) Protect your hair from the elements. Thinning hair is often more susceptible to the sun's rays. And, since you have less hair on your head, your scalp is more vulnerable to the damaging effects of the sun, too.
6.) Cover grey the second it appears. Silver or light colors near the scalp will make it seem as if you have bald spots. Talk to your stylist about the best hair color and highlight choices available to minimize appearance of thinning hair.
7.) Consider an all natural solution for thinning hair like Provillus for Women
Provillus for Women aggressively seeds your scalp to create the optimum environment for new, healthy hairs. It supplies the proper nutrition to bring dead hair follicles back to life or prevent hair loss from occurring!
